RTSS 2003 Special Track on Sensor Networks

RTSS 2003

Cancun, Mexico
December 3-5 2003

Call for Papers

Scope of the Conference

Sensor networks are moving closer towards wide-spread deployment, promising to provide an economical and viable solution for many applications in home, industry, and governmental environments. Large-scale networks of thousands of resource-limited sensor nodes communicating over a multihop wireless network pose many challenges: scalability to large sensor networks, unreliable wireless communication, resource constraints (battery energy, network bandwidth, memory, computation), etc.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

o Design principles for scalable algorithms o Efficient communication protocols o Data handling / querying / mining / fusion techniques o Development of sensor network applications o Energy-conservation techniques o Security issues and protocols o Localization and time synchronization o Collaborative signal processing o Quality-of service
